Horchata-Not a Jamie thing!

I made horchata for the first time. I made a non-traditional one that used rice with flaked coconut and almonds. I took one cup of each and put them into the food processor. Then I put it a bowl and poured 3 Cups of boiling water on top, covered and let sit for 7 hours. Then I strained it and saved the rice and other pieces for breakfast pudding the next day, and I used the liquid as the concentrate for my horchata. I added one can of coconut milk, one can of sweetened condensed milk, five cups of ice cold water and 5 cups of ice. It is best when it is really really chilled.

each of the kids really enjoyed it and had two glasses each.

The big G and I poured ours and put it in the freezer until ice crystals formed and then we stirred it up and drank it. Very good! But not as good as yours Pablo.
